SuperSizer, which first launched in 2017, equips Development Executives who produce factual, factual entertainment or specialist factual programmes with the skills, knowledge, and connections to create bold, inspiring ideas and formats that have the potential to scale and return and transform indies in the Nations and Regions. Previous contributors to the programme have included BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, ITV, Sky and Netflix. As well as gaining exclusive access to leading broadcasters and commissioners, delegates will receive training on a variety of topics such as pitching, personal branding and persuasion and negotiation skills.

Factual Fast Track is a reputation-building career development programme that fast tracks established, ambitious, Producers and Series Producers to move up the career ladder and work on larger scale and higher budget productions.

International Horizons is a professional development programme that gives senior executives the knowledge, skills and expertise needed to get a competitive edge on the global stage. You should be a Senior Executive/Owner/MD or have a very strong track record in ideas development looking to expand your knowledge of the international market. Be experienced in developing and/or selling ideas from factual/specialist factual/factual entertainment/scripted. Have secured at least one network commission

Brought to you by the Ascend Collective and The Independent Film Trust, Elevate is a 7 week scriptwriters course running from April 5th to May 21st that aims to provide ethnically diverse female and non-binary scriptwriters with tools to help them elevate to the next professional stage in their careers. 3 screenwriters will be chosen to work withJanet Awe, focusing on key elements such as writer’s voice, structure, storylines and characters, in order to craft their script into a professional piece ready for submitting to agents, production companies and/or commissioners. A further 10 scriptwriters, from any discipline, will attend a range of Q&A sessions with Guest Writers and Professionals within the industry, covering sessions on pitching and commissioning, writing for theatre, radio and screen and much more.

The Network is a free intensive introduction to working in the TV industry. Earn one of the 60 places on The Network and you’ll spend 4 days learning practical TV making skills from top programme makers, giving you a taster of what it’s really like to work in television. The Network takes place in Edinburgh in August every year. The scheme is completely free (including your accommodation and food). It is open to all – you don’t need any qualifications or work experience in TV, but you do need a genuine passion for TV and an ambition to work in the industry.

British citizens in need of financial assistance to take eligible undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the UK (eligible course list on website). Each BAFTA Scholar receives between £5,000 to £12,000 towards their annual course fees (if undertaking postgraduate study) or towards living expenses (for undergraduate courses)
